Type of travel: Historical, cultural, nature sightseeing,

Meet your chauffeur and local guide after breakfast and depart on a private day trip exploring the natural and historical locations of Počitelj, Kravice Waterfalls and Blagaj. First stop brings us to the medieval walled city of Počitelj. Once a strategic stronghold between the Ottoman and Venetian frontiers, the village is now restored to its former glory.

Continuing to Kravice Waterfalls, we visit one of the most beautiful natural spots in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Kravice is a large tufa cascade on the Trebižat River, in the karstic heartland. Our final destination is Blagaj, the former capital of Herzegovina back in the Middle Ages.

This area is home to fascinating history with traces of human life stretching all the way to prehistoric times. Blagaj is also home to the source of Buna, the largest karst spring in Europe. Next to the source, a 16th century Dervish house – Tekke is still one of the most mystical places as well as one of the most important cultural and historical monuments in all of Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Suggestion – Enjoy a traditional lunch in Blagaj of the local specialty – trout – which locals boast as being the best and freshest in the world as it is caught straight from the spring of the Buna river.
