It wasn’t until 2001 that extensive DNA research officially proved what Croatians have known for a long time, that the Californian Zinfandel and Italian Primitivo are indeed the direct descendants of Crljenak Kaštelanski, a vine sort native to the Dalmatian coast, more specifically to the Kaštela region near Split.
Join your host, a renowned winemaker whose family has been harvesting wine for generations, for a tour of his vineyards, production area and barrel room.
